Appeal – Road first, Tourism later

Asian Development Bank ADB had recently announced a package of Rs 120 Cr for the State of Sikkim for utilization in upliftment of Tourism Sector which appeared in many local and national papers. We being an affected citizen due to the condition of roads appeal to the authority for please considering the said funds for utilization in strengthening & repair of existing road which connects the major lifeline of Sikkim with the nation and all major links with important tourism hot spots. We feel that importance should be given to a road before utilizing the said funds for tourism infrastructure developments. Due to the condition of road the state is severely suffering economical backlash from the major revenue option which is definitely a Tourism Industry.

We request the authority to deeply brainstorm their opinion in this case since without proper road links tourism cannot grow up or any tourist visit beautiful tourism destination places in different pockets areas of State in each districts.

“We are extremely grateful to Asian Development Bank who have come foward for delivering tiny state Sikkim with a helping hand”.
