Half marathon held by SAAA

Nima Tshering Tamang of Enchey Senior Secondary School become first where Total 521 athletes participated in the 20th Sikkim Half Marathon held by the Sikkim Amateur Athletic Association (SAAA) on Sunday from Paljor Stadium.

The participants, U-13 (Boys and Girls), U-15 (Boys and Girls) and Open (Men) were flagged off by NK Pradhan, Minister for Sports and Youth Affairs at Paljor Stadium. 

The athletes in U-13 group covered a distance of 10 KM from Paljor Stadium to Burtuk Helipad and back to the starting point, the runners in U-15 category covered the distance of 15 KM from Paljor Stadium to Bojoghari Fatak and back, and those in Open category ran 21 KM from Paljor Stadium to Ganesh Tok and back to the starting point. 

Nima Tshering Tamang of Enchey Senior Secondary School came first in the Open Marathon followed by Mahendra Chettri from Dentam and Roshan Mangar from Namchi as second and third respectively. Further details...
